Cages with pull outs dont need to be cleaned as often as others but still atleast once a week. The entire coop should be thoroughly disinfected once a month. Gratefully your chinchilla will only use one area of his home as a toilet. additional bedding and disinfectant can be used in that area to assist keep it sanitary.
