How to make a cat scratch post You may have just gotten some new cats or kittens and they may have a bad habit of scratching anything and everything but you can make a scratching post for next to nothing and it will stop them scratching your things that you have worked so hard to acquire.

What you will need A piece of wood base 200mmx200mm, Some strong twine, Nails, Glue, A piece of 2X4 about 400mm long

First take the wood base and get the 2×4 and stand it up strait on the wood base then carefully put nails in the bottom of the base so they go through and into the 2×4 then put glue all around the 2×4 and carefully role the twine around the 2×4 making sure not to get any gaps in between the twine and not to overlap. Once the glue has dried you can decorate it how you would like it like putting carpet on the wooden base. So then you set it up somewhere and watch your cats have hours of fun scratching it.
