Dog second nature is to go for a ride and that is what they like to do the most. We also love to see them enjoy riding together with us but we also need to know the safety part while we are traveling with our beloved pet.

When we’re traveling we always have our seatbelt fastened, our pets need that too for their protections. Dog car seat is a very popular item for small pets to travel comfortably and if your pet can’t fit in a dog car seat restrain the pet within a crate, or use a very well padded crate. Don’t allow your dog ride with its head out of the car window because this can cause eye irritations and other ailments. Also there is a possibility that your dog could jump out the window or be hit.

Never ever leave your dog in the car during the summer months even with the windows down. Cars can heat up very quickly causing heatstroke, brain damage or even death. It is also wise to carry a lot of paper towels and disinfectant in case your dog does have an accident. It is better also if you brought your canine friend its favorite toys or comforters to provide some familiarity in unfamiliar surroundings.
